The U.S. had previously authorized Ukraine to utilize these missiles within Russian territory. Ukrainian Strike Injures Russian Commander A Ukrainian strike in Russia's Ivanovo region critically injured Captain Konstantin Nagayko, a Russian missile commander accused by Kyiv of war crimes. Nagayko had overseen an October 2023 missile attack on a Kharkiv café that resulted in 59 deaths. This incident is part of a series of Ukrainian operations targeting high-ranking Russian officials
Heavy Losses for Russian and North Korean Troops in Kursk President Zelensky reported significant casualties among Russian and North Korean forces in Russia's Kursk region following intense fighting near the village of Makhnovka. Ukrainian forces claim to have inflicted heavy losses on a battalion comprising North Korean infantry and Russian paratroopers. Approximately 11,000 North Korean troops have been deployed in the area since a Ukrainian cross-border incursion in August. These reports have not been independently verified.
